Since the first meeting Frog and Amy Orr-Ewing have come on board too and funding has been given to assist in really setting up something useful for God. I am honoured to be a part of the process. At the moment I am helping to work towards Project One setting up a website. Once we have a site up and running I will post the link here.
Journey into the unknown
From July 2003 until July 2010 I was in full-time Christian ministry, as a parish evangelist, having trained for 3 years with Church Army. I thought I loved God and thought I had found my niche in life.
Now I'm no longer in full time paid ministry, but in a secular job, living by the sea. I love my present job. I love living by the sea. However, I've been through a time of thinking that God does not exist. I stopped loving Him. I was on my way to being a committed Athiest instead of a committed Christian, which is why I left ministry.
I now have come back to faith and my faith has been totally renewed in recent days and weeks. I started this blog is to help me work out what happened to cause such a change, and to share what I have learnt with others.

Project One
God's timing is amazing. In October last year I started blogging about singleness and Christians. I decided to be proactive about my situation rather than just sitting moaning. I started looking around to find out if anything was happening to provide something for single Christians. I decided to phone Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) in London to see if they were doing anything with singleness. I was amazed to find out that they were. I was put in touch with a woman who is heading up a new project called Project One. I spoke to her on the phone and she invited me to be a part of the group of people who are looking into singleness. The first meeting was at the end of October just days after I rang up HTB.
We have our second meeting on 4th February. Things are moving on in the Project One world. We want to be able to produce something that helps singles and church leaders. Singles themselves, which includes never married, divorced, separated, and widowed, whether with or without children, need support in various ways and we would like to look at how to help those needing more support. Also we would like to produce something to help church leaders minister to those who are single in their congregations. Finally from a mission point of view we would like to have something that is also helpful for reaching out to those struggling with singleness outside the church. As yet we don't know exactly what this will look like. We do know that we would like to look at singleness from a viewpoint of wholeness and relationships with God and with each other.
